The College General Library is named after the late Sri Chitra Thirunal Maharaja of the Travancore State. Library floors are attached to the main building of the campus. The library is having spacious stack rooms, reference area and reading area. The library is holding sixty thousand books including rare books and popular periodicals.
The library is having an IT Room for accessing Internet and Online Resources. It is a member of UGC’s NLIST database for e-journals and e-books. It is also an institutional member of American Library Chennai. The library is fully automated using open source software, Koha. The students can researve books using the user id and password given along with the membership cards. All users are requested to fill in the membership form available in the library for getting the bar-coded ID Cards. Books are issued between 9.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. on all working days. The department libraries in English, Economics, Physics, and Zoology issue books only to postgraduate students. The undergraduate students can utilise the libraries for reference with permission from the respective heads of department.
