Mega Campaign against Drugs at Alappuzha Beach
Rotary Club of Alleppey Central organized a Mega Campaign against Drugs in collaboration with the National Service Scheme unit of S. D. College, Alappuzha and District Janamaithri Police on 1st October 2022 at Alappuzha beach. The programme was successful in imparting the socially relevant message to the society. As part of the programme ‘Lahari Virudha Prathinja’, ‘Lahari Virudha Pracharana Sadassu’, Signature Campaign, Wall Painting, Flash Mob, Lahari Virudha Manushya Changala etc were conducted. Hon’ble MLA of Alappuzha Sri. P. P. Chitharanjan was the chief guest and he shared an Anti-Narcotics message to thesociety. Sri. Binukumar M. K. (DYSP, Narcotic Cell, Alappuzha), Sri. N. R. Jayaraj (DYSP, Alappuzha) and NSS Programme Officer Dr. S. Lekshmi were present on the dias. Later, NSS Volunteers of S. D. College did a Flash Mob and formed a Human Chain. After that, the NSS unit created an anti narcotic wall. About 150 people put their signature on the wall. It also included many anti narcotic messages.
