The Eco-club of S.D College is a group of students and teachers who work and contribute to improving environmental conditions. The Club plans to organise various eco-friendly programmes and activities to reduce pollution, plant trees and more.
The inauguration of Eco- club activities for the year 2016-17 was held on 28th September 2016 at Golden Jubilee Auditorium. The Club Co-ordinator Dr. T. Sunilkumar welcomed the gathering . Sri. S. Sreekumar, Deputy Conservator of Forest Wild Life-Kottayam, was the Chief Guest for the day. He gave a talk on ‘The importance of Conservation of Biodiversity.’ Principal Dr. S. Nataraja Iyer presided over the function. Dr. P. Sunilkumar(Kerala University Senate Member) Sri. V.R. Prabhakaran Nair and Dr. S. Ajayakumar (PTA Secretary) offered felicitations. Vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Athulya Sreekumar , Eco-club member.
